If you have used the Monotony trial version (available for download) and afterwards bought the paid version from the Mac App Store, your list of feeds you’ve subscribed to won’t be automatically migrated from the trial version to the paid version, as this isn’t possible due to Apple’s sandbox restrictions. However, there is a workaround and you can easily migrate the feed list manually.

To do this, you have to have launched the paid version of Monotony at least once, and the paid version must not be running while you migrate the feed list.

So, after quitting the paid Monotony version, first open the Finder and click on the “Go to Folder” menu item in the “Go” menu. In the small window appearing then enter this line:

~/Library/Containers/ ↩
com.timschroeder.Monotony-Trial/ ↩
Data/Documents

Select the “feeds.plist” file and copy it to the clipboard (to do this, use the “Copy” menu item in Finder’s “Edit” menu). Then, again click on the “Go to Folder” menu item and enter this line:

~/Library/Containers/ ↩
com.timschroeder.Monotony/ ↩
Data/Documents

Delete the feeds.plist file you’ll find there. Now, paste the clipboard content to this location (to do this, use the “Paste” menu item in Finder’s “Edit” menu).

That’s all. Launch the paid version of Monotony and you’ll find your trial version feed list there.
